01.International University Exchange Program
Nowadays, there is an articulated need by research centres and universities to go beyond their countries' frontiers. Universities cannot prevent themselves from investing in international projects to allow a more cultural, economic and social opening of their programs and activities.Today, the education system advocates for a more international dimension of teaching, particularly with a focus of deeper knowledge of foreign cultures.
As part of the Gorée Institute Education program, an ambitious project is currently being developed. Its aim is to share knowledge at all levels between foreign professors, students and their Senegalese counterparts.
By developing its relations with the International community, the Gorée Institute will support the relationships between communities of different backgrounds. This project will allow the sharing of knowledge on the vertical and horizontal levels in a way that support a politically alive Africa ; one that encourages peace , security and conflict prevention and other subjects of interests. The idea is to transform Gorée, an island characterised by its painful history, into a positive environment for education, peace and democracy.
